Confessions of a nail polish addict
I love nail polish! I have too many in my collection and I prefer to have my nails painted at all times.
I started wearing nail polish when I was 16 and since then my love for the product grew over the years. It got to a point where in my early twenties, I realised that I had far too many. I estimate that I probably have owned around 100 nail polishes in my life so far, which is kind of crazy.
My nail polish addiction has calmed down now. I’ve given a lot of my nail polishes away to friends and family. I hardly buy nail polishes now - maybe once in a while, but now I tend to focus on using up my nail polishes, as well as using up my makeup collection.
Here are some of my confessions of a nail polish addict.
At the moment I’m either wearing Barry M’s Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in the shade Rhubarb (a dark reddish purple-ish shade) or Essie’s Mint Green Candy Apple nail polish.
My go-to nail polish shades are pastel colours and dark hues.
My favourite nail polish brands are Barry M and Essie.
My favourite nail polish finish is a gel, shiny and glossy finish.
I always paint my nails in the evening. I find it kind of therapeutic.
The one nail polish I regret buying? When I was in my teens I bought a nail polish a ‘croc’ effect but it didn’t work properly. The croc-effect nail trend died after that.
A top nail tip that I swear by is this: file your nails instead of clipping them.
The one nail polish brand I’d love to try is Nailberry. I’ve always wanted to try their products. Also, I’d love to give Butter London a try, and I’d love to see Models Own make a return.
