Top beauty influencers of 2020

Top beauty influencers of 2020

This post is in collaboration with Intellifluence.

As someone who takes great interest in this industry, there are a number of beauty influencers that I go to for expert knowledge. I regularly read blogs, view magazines and watch vlogs on YouTube to stay in-the know about current trends and the best products.

Despite 2020 going completely haywire, I’ve still been consuming beauty content from some top creators and ambassadors in the digital space, and I’m glad to see these influencers thriving.

Here’s my list of the top beauty influencers of this year.

Jackie Aina

Jackie Aina is a beauty vlogger with over 3.53 million subscribers on YouTube. Her tutorials are amazing and she’s worked with some huge brands - such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced and Sephora.

What I love about her is that she’s determined to change up the industry by showcasing products that are suitable for people of color, and she’s not afraid to speak out on racial and social issues.

Ti (nappyheadedjojoba)

Another beauty guru who’s not afraid to speak her mind is Ti (aka nappyheadedjojob), who creates chatty GRWMs, makeup looks and commentary, as well as sharing her style and haircare tips.

Currently, she’s on a special journey, #ProjectExodus, to emigrate from America, and if you’re African-American (or a Black person living in the West) then I’d recommend you check out her videos on this.

Huda Kattan

Huda Kattan is a makeup artist, beauty blogger and the founder of Huda Beauty. I must admit, I’ve been lusting after Huda Beauty products for the longest time because they look so good and the colours are amazing. Also, her makeup tutorials on Instagram are pretty cool.

Sophie Tilley

Sophie Tilley (formerly Beautisserie) is a makeup artist and beauty writer from London. Having worked in the industry for over 15 years, she’s done makeup looks for London Fashion week, adverts, weddings, editorials, celebrities and television.

As a beauty writer she’s written for magazines such as Vanity Fair, Conde Nast Brides, Abu Dhabi Magazine and Glamour. Even though she’s not what one would call an influencer, her Instagram Stories often show a ‘day-in-the-life’ view of a makeup artist and her beauty recommendations.

Caroline Hirons

Caroline Hirons is a blogger and skincare guru. She’s a straight shooter who tells it like it is and as a trained aesthetician and beauty consultant, she provides top-notch skincare advice to help you boost your complexion and keep your skin looking and feeling good.

I’d recommend subscribing to her YouTube channel and listening to her interviews on podcasts: she’s honest and hilarious.

Demi Colleen

Demi Collen is a vegan beauty and lifestyle blogger and a self-proclaimed SPF queen. She talks about skincare and always shares her favourite cruelty-free, vegan and ethical brands that she truly supports, as well as sharing her opinions on tough topics such as racism, politics and veganism.

Other beauty influencers you should check out:

  • Pat McGrath

  • Adrienne - The Sunday Girl

  • Rihanna

  • Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

  • Katie Jane Hughes
