How Much Is My Face Worth? (2019)

I wear makeup almost every day, whether I'm at work or socializing, and I spend a lot of money on cosmetics. But how much is my face worth? Well, let's find out.

my face makeup

Eye cream

I use Superdrug's Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream (£2.89) to smooth the eye area and banish dark circles.

Concealer

Right now I don't have a 'go-to' foundation and I'm now on the hunt for a cruelty-free and organic foundation that's perfect for oily/acne-prone skin. (If you have any recommendations then please let me know in the comments section below!) But Glossier's Stretch Concealer (£15) is so good because it offers smooth and buildable coverage with a dewy finish. I use the shade Rich, but Glossier's updated the Stretch Concealer range so I have to switch to G2, a rich and warm shade.

Blush

Normally, I tend to go for powder blushes, but if you're looking for a really good range of liquid blushes, you should check out Glossier's Cloud Paint (£15) the perfect lip and cheek tint. I use the shade Haze (which is a deep berry hue). I add a tiny amount to my beauty blender and dab on my cheeks.

Makeup brush

I use the Slanted Blusher Brush by The Body Shop (£12) to blend the concealer. The brush is soft and gentle on my skin, and it's 100% cruelty-free and vegan, and the wand is sustainably sourced.

Beauty Blender

I use Superdrug's Blending Makeup Sponge (£1) to apply concealer and blush.

Eyeliner

I like to use black eyeliner to give my eyes definition. My favourite eyeliner is the Matte Liquid Liner (£8) by NYX Professional Makeup, and I love it because the brush is so thin so I can create the perfect eye line.

Mascara

If you want to try a brand that sells some of the best eye products, then check out Eyeko. I use the Black Magic Mascara (£10), which has a curved brush that lengthens and defines your lashes.

Brows

I touch up my brows using Glossier's Boy Brow (£14), which boosts, smooths and thickens my eyebrows.

Lip balm

My lips are prone to dryness so I use Pixi's Shea Butter Lip Balm (£8), a tinted lip balm that smooths the lips.

Lip product

My favourite lip product is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (£6). I discovered this matte liquid lipstick when I worked as a brand ambassador for NYX in my last year of university and I've used it ever since. What I love about the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream is that it's smooth and unlike many other matte products, it leaves a matte finish without drying out the lips. I use the shades Prague (a dark pink hue) and Copenhagen (dark red).

Total cost: how much is my face worth?

£91.89.

Final verdict

My face is worth almost £100! That's crazy. It's nice to see a mix of drugstore and expensive items, but I could certainly cut down on the total cost by switching to high street alternatives.
