A week in lipsticks #3

A week in lipsticks

Hello! It’s been a while since I wrote about my week in lipsticks. The last time I published this type of post was before the first lockdown, which is crazy! And I published the first ‘week in lipsticks’ post in 2019! Life before lockdown seems like such a long time ago, and a lot has changed in my life since then. What a difference a year makes.

I don’t wear as much makeup as I used to so there’s not much to report on that front but I still wear lip products, which is nice. I always keep my lips moisturised but I like a little bit of colour, so my go-to shade at the moment is a deep red hue. It’s nice to keep my lips looking good and feeling good on a day-to-day basis.

So, here it is: a week in lipsticks #3.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick 001

There’s nothing much to report here, other than the fact that I had a couple of busy days at work (I’ve been working from home, full-time, since the start of the first lockdown) and I watched Coronation Street on Wednesday evening.

The Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick (in shade 001) is a deep red and highly pigmented shade that lasts throughout the day. I love it and at £5.99, it’s an affordable product for bold red lips.

Thursday: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm with SPF 15

Once again, nothing much to report except for being super busy at work. I didn’t feel like wearing lipstick so I decided to keep my lips plain and simple by using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm with SPF 15. This lip balm helps to keep my lips moisturised and protected, and it prevents chapped and cracked lips.

Friday: Makeup Revolution Velvet Kiss Lip Crayon Vampire

Once again, I was busy working from home but today was a lot of fun and the day went by pretty quickly. My colleagues and I had a sociable Zoom event where we were able to chat, laugh, socialise and talk about all things non-work related. I also cooked myself a really nice dinner: a stir-fry, with brown rice, green vegetables, flame grilled chicken and scrambled eggs. Also, I treated myself to some Maltesers, drank some tea and watched Corrie.

Makeup Revolution’s Velvet Kiss Lip Crayon in the shade Vampire is a deep and rich red hue that leaves a soft and velvety finish on the lips.

Saturday and Sunday: Vaseline Lip Therapy Original

I pretty much spent most of my weekend binge-watching TV, eating chocolate, messaging my friends and family, listening to music and reading. My weekends tend to be makeup free unless I’m going somewhere, so I used Vaseline’s Lip Therapy to keep my lips soft, smooth and shiny.

Monday: Natural Extracts Strawberry Lip Balm

I’m back to work, but today has gone by really quickly. I guess time flies when you’re busy and having fun! I spent most of today just getting through my important tasks at work while playing podcasts in the background, and I’m closely following news updates on England’s gradual ease out of lockdown.

I didn’t feel like wearing lipstick but I wanted to use a moisturising lip balm with flavour so I applied the Natural Extracts Strawberry Lip Balm to soothe my lips.
