8 things I’ve been loving lately
~ AD FEATURE ~
Hello! It’s been a while since I last blogged. I think I last published a blog post in December 2022!
I must admit, over the last few years, I’ve been feeling lost with my blog. I wasn’t sure what to write about, when to write and I basically didn’t have much motivation.
But now I’m back, raring to go, and I’ve given my blog/website a fresh makeover. These days, I like to focus on lifestyle content, with a little bit of beauty and fashion content thrown in.
In the meantime, I have some interesting recommendations. Here are the things I’ve been loving lately.
8 things I’ve been lovely lately
I’m currently listening to this book on Audible and I am absolutely loving it!
The author, Rachel Rodgers, breaks down the obstacles that stop many women from earning more money, and she discusses the importance of changing your money mindset, changing your actions, creating your tribe/squad that will support you, setting boundaries and realising your vision.
I find this book very helpful and inspiring, and it’s given me a lot of food for thought. I’d love to be a millionaire and it’s helpful to read a book that’s all about earning more, building wealth and increasing economic power.
Home: H&M Home Reed Diffuser
Several months ago, I packed up my life in Cambridge (which was absolutely not serving me) and embarked on a new chapter in Surrey. You can read about that here.
Since then, it’s been lovely to settle into my new place without many disruptions, and I feel so much happier. Moving to a new home usually means that you have to buy decorative pieces, so I’ve been purchasing some items from H&M Home.
I've been very impressed with the retailer's really cool pieces, including its pink diffuser with sweet floral notes. I’ve got two of these in my living room and it’s nice to walk into a room with a gentle flowery scent.
Home: Dunelm Berber Rug
When I moved into my current home, I knew I wanted to buy a cute Berber rug for my living room. This one is very lovely and cosy and looks really pretty.
TV: Dragon’s Den
I’ve recently become obsessed with this show!
To summarise, it’s a show where business owners can pitch their businesses to investors (aka the ‘Dragons’) to get investment in exchange for equity. It’s quite entertaining and I find it hilarious when people come on the show with their pie-in-the-sky evaluations.
You can binge-watch the current and previous series on BBC iPlayer.
YouTube: Kempire
If I need to get updates on reality TV and pop culture, there are a few YouTubers I follow.
One of those YouTubers is Kempire, who’s based in New York City. I really like the way he explains the latest news in the reality TV genre and pop culture world. I like how he re-tells the latest stories and puts his own spin on things without ‘regurgitating’ articles.
Podcast: Charlie’s Toolbox
I listen to so many podcasts on a daily basis, and I recently discovered this one. It's a self-help podcast that’s all about helping women to de-center men, center themselves and seek empowerment. Charlie inspires women to rediscover themselves, build up self-esteem and confidence and let go of self-criticism, fear and self-doubt.
Blog: Demi Colleen
Demi Colleen is an influencer, content creator and writer who’s recently relaunched her website/blog. She talks about cruelty-free beauty, being vegan, sustainable fashion and navigating life with ADHD. I really like how she tells it like it is and doesn’t beat around the bush regarding the ethics of the beauty industry.
Course: Intentional Living Course by Dvn Oasis*
*I was able to access this course for free and all opinions are my own.
Dvn Oasis is a lifestyle website that infuses “life & style to inspire you to design a well-lived life.”
It’s run by Amber Jane, a writer, content strategist and creative designer, who creates inspirational content for anyone looking to design a life that is aligned with their values, happiness and sense of peace.
I discovered Amber Janae a couple of years ago and her content has been one of the most essential aspects of my healing and ability to switch up my mindset and lead a better life.
I recently tried the newly-launched Intentional Living Course and so far, I’m really impressed. While I won’t give away the gems, I will say that it’s a very useful and motivational resource that will spark anyone to level up on their personal development journey and design a life that truly fulfils them and makes them happy. So, I definitely recommend giving it a go.
